ESS Group, Inc. is providing complete engineering, ecological, and permitting services for a private country club/motorsports facility on an approximately 251-acre parcel of land. The project includes a 2.9-mile long, European-style road course and associated driving and country club support facilities, clubhouse, and maintenance area.
ESS engineers and scientists worked with the developer to finalize the conceptual site layout to meet the needs of the project. As part of this process, ESS scientists completed wetland identification and functional assessment, vegetative cover type mapping, and an associated wildlife habitat analysis. Vernal pool identification and assessment was completed as part of the wildlife habitat study.
ESS is currently working on the final design for the site including all proposed grading, road course layout, stormwater management design, and utility design. The permit set of design documents was used to obtain the following permit applications:
-
New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) Alteration of Terrain Permit
-
NHDES Major Dredge and Fill (Wetlands Permit)
-
US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Section 404 Individual Permit
-
USACE Section 401 Water Quality Certification
The project has been approved by the USACE and NHDES. ESS is working with Club Motrosports, geotechnical, and structural bridge engineers to finalize the design and develop construction costs.
