ESS Advances Data Management and GIS Technology Initiatives, Introduces Scott DeHainaut as Spatial Data Management Director

November 29, 2016 – ESS Group, Inc. is pleased to welcome Scott DeHainaut as Spatial Data Management Director. This appointment supports the Company’s commitment to sophisticated, state-of-the-art data analyses and presentation. In this new role, Scott will lead ESS technology advancement initiatives related to collecting and sharing georeferenced data, customized programming for analysis of complex multimedia data sets, and the integration of data with graphics and visual presentations.

Scott, who earned a BS in Geography from Southern Illinois University, is a recognized expert in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) operations and he has more than 25 years of diverse training and experience in geospatial data management, analysis, and system design. As an experienced problem solver, Scott is able to translate large and various data sets into visual tools for project decision-making. “It’s rewarding to take several years of raw sampling data for a site and turn it into an animation or a series of maps to show how environmental conditions change over time,” Scott says.

The ESS in-house GIS team, complemented by Scott’s expertise, has the capability to produce cutting edge graphics and animations and efficiently integrate GIS resources with project specific geospatial environmental data.”

Scott’s expertise includes advanced spatial analysis, database management, GIS/CAD integration, visual impact assessments and simulations, and multimedia graphics presentations. He also brings experience in the development of client web portals and data collection using mobile platforms, as well as programming to automate data integration, and analyses, and reporting.
